Looking for fun and affordable egg-citing Easter activities for the whole family in Birmingham and beyond? The West Midlands offers a wide range of low-cost events and attractions to enjoy during the Easter holidays. From Easter egg hunts and Easter trails to arts and crafts workshops, there is something for everyone to get involved in without breaking the bank.
In this blog, I've defined "low-cost" as events that cost less than £10 per person. Do check back as this list of free and low-cost Easter events and activities in the West Midlands will be regularly updated.

Becketts Farm
Becketts Farm offers a blend of farm-fresh produce, artisanal goods, and family-friendly activities. This Easter, you can meet playful goats and their kids, calves, ewes, newly born lambs, and more! There will be some craft activities that children can take part in every day, including colouring in and a sunflower planting activity. Due to government restrictions currently in place, there will be no chicks or birds at this year’s event.
At peak times, and if maximum capacity is reached in the event space, there may be a short waiting time.
How much? £3 entry per person (under 1s go free). There is no need to book.
When? Saturday 12th and Sunday 27th April 2025. Open daily 10am-3pm.

Selly Manor: We're Going on an Easter Egg Hunt
Visitors to Selly Manor this Easter can enjoy an egg-citing family adventure. They can explore the deep dark wood, help put Humpty Dumpty back together, and search the grounds for giant eggs inspired by beloved children's books. In the medieval hall, guests can get creative with Easter-themed crafts to make and take home. The fun continues with a spring discovery station and a dedicated play zone for children under five.
How much? Adults £6, Concessions £5, Children (3+) £4, Family (2 Adults, 3 Children) £18, Under 3s free. Booking is strongly recommended. Book tickets here.
When? This event takes place between 14th April - 23rd April daily from 10am - 4pm.

Webbs West Hagley: Easter Bunny Trail 2025
Hop on down to the Easter Bunny Trail in Webbs' West Hagley store! Your children can take part in an egg-citing adventure as they follow the clues to find the hidden Easter bunnies scattered throughout the garden centre.
Please collect your form from the tills and bring a pen or pencil to complete it.
How much? £1.50 per child.
When? Saturday 12th April - Saturday 19th April, and Monday 21st April. You can arrive anytime on the day you have booked between 10am and 3pm (trail closes at 4pm).Â

Webbs Wychbold: Easter Fairytale Trail
Visitors can enjoy a delightful Fairytale Easter Trail in the beautiful Riverside Gardens. They can follow the clues in the poem to discover beloved fairytale characters such as Beauty and the Beast, Billy Goats Gruff, Hansel and Gretel, and many more.
Pick up a trail form from the Customer Service desk inside the main store - fill in the letters you find, solve the word puzzle, and deliver your completed trail form back to the tills to pick up a chocolate treat (a dairy-free alternative is available).Â
How much? £3.50
When? Saturday 12th April - Monday 21st April (Closed Easter Sunday 20th April).

RSPB Sandwell Valley: Easter Egg Hunt
Are you ready for an Easter Egg hunt this Easter? Explore the reserve to search for clues, and complete wildlife activities to complete your challenge and find the missing eggs. Each egg hunt pack is £4 and contains everything your family needs for a wild Easter adventure! Simply pop in any day the Visitor Centre is open and pick up an activity pack.
Please note that the Easter eggs on this trail are not chocolate.
How much? £4 per Easter egg hunt pack. No booking is required.
When? Saturday 12 April – Sunday 4 May 2025. Open Tuesdays - Sundays, 10:30am – 3pm.

Sycamore Adventure: Easter Play Sessions
Sycamore Adventure is a lovely play area in Sedgley that hosts general family days and inclusive play sessions for children with disabilities and their families.
During the Easter holidays, there are lots of sessions:

Tuesday 15th April, 10am-3pm, Inclusive Play for children with disabilities and their family members

Sedgley Adventure Centre
Sedgley Adventure Centre is reopening on April 14th, just in time for the Easter half term. General farm admission with no activity is priced at just £3 per adult and £2.50 per child.
Easter activities are pre-book only and include the cost of farm admission. Here are some of the great events that are happening:
Meet Our Lambs: Bottle feed and cuddle newborn lambs: A rare and unique experience available for a limited time only! £10 per child, £3 per adult, 45-minute sessions.
Easter Bunny Event: For all ages experiencing easter fun around a farm and hunting for the easter bunny, 1 hour 30 minute sessions. Toddler £15 per child £5 per adult.
Farmer for the Day: Bring your children to stay for a few hours where they can learn how to be a proper farmer. 2-hour sessions. £20 per child
Walk Baby Goats: Walk our cute baby goats around our farm and give them a brush and some fuss. 45-minute slots. £10 per child, £3 per adult.

Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens: Easter Egg Hunt
Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens is steeped in history and natural beauty. Every day during the Easter holidays, children can get involved and solve the Easter trail questions to win a reward. No need to book, just turn up.
How much? £4 entry includes the trail booklet and an eggy prize (creme egg or equivalent).Â
When? Saturday 12th April to Sunday 27th April, 10.30am-4.30pm.

Witley Court and Gardens: Easter Adventure Quest
Witley Court and Gardens, once a lavish stately home, the estate now stands as a captivating ruin, offering visitors a glimpse into its illustrious past. Surrounded by picturesque gardens, including the impressive Perseus and Andromeda Fountain, Witley Court continues to enchant visitors with its timeless beauty and historical significance.Â
This Easter, children can participate in an Easter quest and scour the grounds for clues, track down the Easter eggs, and receive a chocolate reward at the end. The quest is available daily throughout the Easter holidays, and the cost for the Easter Adventure Quest is £2 per child, in addition to the standard ticket fee.Â
Note: As the Court is currently closed for essential maintenance, the Easter Adventure Quest will take place around The Wilderness Walk.Â

Churchfields: Easter Fun
Churchfields is a small farm in Worcester where visitors can indulge in farm-fresh ice cream and explore the picturesque surroundings. This Easter promises non-stop fun for the whole family! Every day from 12th – 27th April, you can enjoy:

During the bank holiday weekend, Churchfields is hosting an Easter EGG-stravaganza where children can meet and greet special guests and see the live interactive Springtime Scarecrow show. How much? Adults £6.50, Children aged 2-15 £9.50, Children aged 1-2 £7, under 1s go free. Booking is essential.

Amerton Railway Easter Egg Hunt 2025
Head down to Amerton Railway on Saturday 19th April and Sunday 20th April for an Easter egg hunt! Trains run from 11:30 until 16:30 and there is no need to book! As you ride the Easter express, you’ll have an EGG-citing time searching the field for all the eggs left by the Easter Bunny.
You’ll start your day at our ticket office and collect a spotting sheet and your train ticket. Once on board the train, you’ll notice the eggs left along the line, spot all of these, and when you return to Amerton, come into the ticket office for a treat.

Bodenham Arboretum: Hunt the Golden Egg
Bodenham Arboretum showcases the beauty of nature with its diverse collection of trees and stunning gardens. This Easter, Bodenham Arboretum is hosting an Easter trail (Hunt the Golden Egg) - follow the clues and collect a prize!
How much? Adults £8, Children (aged 3+) £5, Family Ticket £26.
When? Saturday 12th April to Sunday 27th April.

Arley Arboretum: Easter Egg Hunt
This Easter, families can enjoy a lovely day at the Arboretum, surrounded by blooming trees and spring flowers. Children can take part in an exciting Easter Egg Hunt along scenic pathways, with a special prize for every successful hunter. The fun doesn’t stop there—families can explore the garden maze, let little ones play in the dedicated play area, and test their balance on the slacklines.
How much? For Egg Hunt & Arboretum Admission, Adults £7.20, Children £6, under 4s go free.
When? 12th, 13th, 16th-21st, 23rd-27th April 2025.

Tamworth Castle: Dragon Egg Hunt
Tamworth Castle is a Norman motte-and-bailey castle that boasts a rich history spanning over 900 years. Ruby the Castle Dragon has hidden her eggs from the dastardly dragon hunter. Visitors are invited to help Ruby find her eggs and earn a reward for their hard work. This activity is included in general admission.
Please note: There is no live interaction during this event.
How much? Adults £9.95, Children £7.50, Family ticket (up to 5 people) £37.50. No pre-booking necessary, but you can pre-book online if you wish.
When? Saturday 12th to Sunday 27th April.

Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre: Animal Magic
Enjoy interactive sessions with spiders, snakes, scorpions, insects, meerkats and birds of prey. The sessions are recommended for children aged 6 years and over, but all children MUST be accompanied by an adult. This event is not suitable for children under two. This event will take place in the Study Centre, therefore no pushchairs will be allowed upstairs due to the constraints of the room.

When? 16th and 23rd of April. Sessions: 10.30am - 11.30am, 12 noon - 1.00am, 1.30pm - 2.30pm.Â

Forge Mill Needle Museum: Easter Egg Trail
From Saturday 12th April to Sunday 20th April, children can make a basket and hunt for eggs within Forge Mill Needle Museum grounds or explore a longer trail around the abbey ruins to exchange for a chocolate treat! This costs just £2.50 per child.
How much? No charge for admission to Bordesley Abbey Ruins Site or Forge Mill Grounds. Just pay £2.50 per child to take part in the trail. If you'd like to explore inside the museum, an additional charge applies.
When? Saturday 12th April to Sunday 20th April, 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Newlands Bishop Farm: Spring Scavenger Hunt
Join Newlands Bishop Farm for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt! Search for letters hidden throughout the farm, and once all the letters are found, you will win a prize.Â
When? Saturday 5th April - Friday 25th April
Where? Newlands Bishop Farm, Berry Hall Lane, Solihull B91 2RY.
How much? £3 per person or 4 tickets for £10. Pre-book here.
Mary Stevens Park: Easter Egg Hunt and Eco Trail
Visitors can search for recycled eggs hidden around Mary Stevens Park, marking their trail maps as they go. Along the way, they should also keep an eye out for sneaky bunnies and secret eggs. Anyone who finds a secret egg must hold onto it and return it at the end of the trail to receive extra treats.
All booked participants will receive an Easter goody bag at the end of the trail. Allergies and dietary requirements are catered for, and guests are encouraged to provide this information when booking tickets.
How much? Tickets cost £5. Accompanying adults with children are free.Â
When? Friday 18th April 2025 10am-1pm.

Bromwich Hall: Dinosaur Day
Visitors can enjoy a dinosaur-themed fun at Bromwich Hall, including the chance to meet a mini dinosaur, pan for fossils, take part in dino-themed crafts and trails, and bounce on the bouncy castle. The event is best suited for children aged 4 to 10, though all ages are welcome.
There are 3 timed sessions throughout the day:Â 11am - 12pm (meet and greet between 11:30am and 12pm), 12pm - 1pm (meet and greet between 12:30pm and 1pm), 1pm - 2pm (meet and greet between 1:30pm and 2pm).Â
How much? £3.00 per child. Ticket includes meet and greet, one turn on the bouncy castle and an activity bag. Additional bouncy castle tickets can be bought at reception.
When? Monday 21st April 2025.

Oak House Museum: Easter Activities
There are lots of fun and affordable activities taking place at Oak House Museum this Easter:
Easter Discos will take place on Tuesday, 15 April, at 11:30 am, 12:45 pm, and 2:00 pm, featuring entertainment from Ron Popple. Visitors are encouraged to wear Easter bonnets and bunny ears while showing off their best dance moves. Each session lasts 45 minutes and costs £1.50. Easter crafts and trails will be available, and guests can enjoy refreshments in the tearoom or relax in the scenic grounds. The house will be open for all visitors to explore with free entry. Online booking will be available for the disco.
Easter Crafts and Trails will be held on Wednesday, 16 April, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering visitors the chance to create spring and Easter-themed crafts and take part in an Easter trail. Refreshments will be available in the tearoom, and guests can unwind in the lovely grounds. The house will be open for all visitors to explore with free entry.
Springtime Fun will take place on Tuesday, 22 April, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, featuring outdoor games with Go Play and an opportunity to learn about local police heroes. Visitors can try on a police uniform and explore artefacts from the Lock Ups at Steelhouse Lane. Springtime crafts and trails will also be available, along with refreshments in the tearoom and space to relax in the grounds. The house will be open for all visitors to explore with free entry.

Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery: Easter Activities
Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery is hosting some great creative activities:
Easter Crafts and Trail will take place on Wednesday, 16 April, and Thursday, 17 April, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Visitors can enjoy fun trails and Easter-themed crafts, including making a chick or bunny decoration, an Easter Bunny Basket, or a Bird Planter. Suitable for all ages, with craft activities ranging from 50p to £2. No booking is required—just drop in at any time.
Spring Activities will be held on Wednesday, 23 April, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering a variety of spring crafts and trails suitable for all ages. Craft activities cost between 50p and £2.50, and no booking is required. Visitors can also join Healthy Sandwell for a fun family activity designed for children aged 5 to 12. Superhero Day will take place on Thursday, 24 April, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, featuring superhero-themed crafts and trails. Visitors can create a superhero cape, mask, or snap band cuff and explore the Crime Prevention stand, where they can try on a police uniform and learn about staying safe. Suitable for all ages, with craft activities ranging from 50p to £2.50. No booking is required—drop in at any time.

Halesowen Town Centre: Free Easter Egg Hunt
A free egg hunt in Halesowen Town Centre, starting at Halesowen Library where you collect your map.
How much? Free event.
When? 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th April. 10am – 2pm.
Where? The hunt starts at Halesowen Library (Located in Cornbrow Shopping Centre, Halesowen, B63 4AZ).
Mander Centre: Free Brick Building Activities
Although not strictly Easter-themed, free brick-building activities are taking place on the lower level of the Mander Centre from Monday 14th to Sunday 27th April. Additionally, free craft sessions with Enjoy Wolverhampton will take place on Tuesday, 15 April, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and on Friday, 25 April, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Forge Mill Farm
Forge Mill Farm is a small working farm that offers visitors a chance to experience rural life up close. Home to a variety of farm animals, including cows, sheep, goats, and chickens, the farm provides an engaging and educational experience for all ages. Visitors can explore the barns, interact with the animals, and learn about farming practices throughout the seasons.
How much? Adults £5.50, Concessions £4.50, Children £6.50, Family (2 Adults, 3 Children) £27.50, Under 2s free. The indoor play barn is an additional charge of £3 per child.

Brockswood Animal Sanctuary
Brockswood Animal Sanctuary is a haven for rescued animals, dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment for those in need. The sanctuary is home to a variety of animals, including farm animals, birds, and wildlife, many of which have been rescued from neglect or abandonment. Visitors can see and learn about these animals while supporting the sanctuary’s mission of rehabilitation and conservation.Â
Although there are no specific Easter activities happening, it's a great place to visit and support.
How much? £4.75 per person, under 4s go free.

Wythall Animal Sanctuary: Easter Egg Hunt
Wythall Animal Sanctuary invites families to a fun-filled Easter event! Activities include an Easter egg hunt, a meet-and-greet with Peter Rabbit—complete with a photo opportunity and an Easter treat. Tickets are £5 per child and can be purchased via the sanctuary’s website or by contacting 01564 823288 or staff@wythallanimalsanctuary.org.

Willenhall Carnival Easter Egg Hunt
Willenhall Memorial Park is hosting a fun-filled Easter egg hunt, inviting families and friends to enjoy an afternoon of excitement and laughter. Participants can explore the park in search of delicious Easter treats during this egg-citing event. Only children under the age of 18 need to be registered for a ticket here.
How much? Free event.
When? Sunday 20th April 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Cannock Chase Easter Trails
This Easter half term, there will be running two Easter trails from Cannock Chase Visitor Centre. There will also be Easter trails running from Chasewater Innovation Centre.
How much? £3 per trail sheet.
When? 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th to 21st, 24th to 27th April 2025.

Telford Centre: Free Easter Egg Trail
Visitors are invited to participate in the free Easter Trail for a chance to win a £100 Telford Centre gift card. Each correct entry will also receive a free sweet treat. Entry forms can be collected from the Customer Service desk, located next to Boots, between 12th and 27th April.
